Default D30 vs S1 vs Kodak 520

I am in the market for a used or left over digital SLR camera. I mainly shoot autoracing and football but will be branching out into other fields such as portraits.

Could someone tell me their opinion of which of the above cameras would be the best for me?

Thanks

For what you intend to do, my suggestion would be to pick up a DCS-720x.

The 520 is a much more rugged and capable camera than either the D30 or S1, but you can get a 720x which will let you have the best of both worlds. You can shoot in poor light or good light with all the best of Nikon's pro body and Kodak's great software and sensor.

Well I would love to, but my budget is unfortunetly too low for this. I am gonna have to invest in not only the camera but all the lens, bag, batteries, etc.

Of course, but the DCS-720x has been offered on EBAY by Kodak themselves - factory refurbished for the same prices as a 520 - soooo.....
