Default Exposure Equivalent Question!!

Yesterday in photography class we talked about exposure. Two factors determine film exposure, shutter speed and F-stop.

The "Reciprocity Law" states that Time (T) x Intensity (I) = Exposure (E).

Can someone explain to me in mathematically how these exposures are equivalent?

f/22, 4
f/16, 8
f/11, 15
f/8, 30
f/5.6, 60
f/4, 125
f/2.8, 250
f/2.0, 500
f/1.4, 1000
