Default BestBuy Three Year Warranty Worth it?

Hello guys,

I have decided to purchase the Canon S200 and am ready to buy it. My only question is if it is worth it to purchase the Bestbuy three year warranty for about $50 which basically allows me to bring it back to get repaired for three years, no questions asked. Are cameras like CPU's where after a certain amount of time they will last forever or will they deteriorate over time. I come to the digicam gods for advice.

A three year warranty for $50 sounds very reasonable.

I don't believe in extended warranties as long as you're careful with the product. This is because you should discover any defective parts within the manufacturer warranty period. Just remember, a huge corporation like best buy would not have a 50 dollar extended warranty unless it was worth their while.
