Default PS Color Correction book?

I've done a search here and found that a few people liked it and that others were going to try it. So my questions are the following for the new and older users.

1. Is it easy to use?

2. Did you find that it improved you're photos after processing them with what you learned?

3.Any thing else you would like to add?

I've been using PS since ver4 so I'm familiar with it but I would like to improve on my color processing abilities.
I'd like to get this book but at $54+tax I want to make sure it's worth it.

Name of book is
Photoshop Color Correction
Author: Michael Kieran

Thanks
