Hello,

I am getting started with digital portrait photograpy.I would love to hear your suggestions for color/photo labs that you use. I want really good quality print outs. Not what you would get at walmart :-)

Thanks!!!

pjporter,

You could buy yourself a reasonably high end printer and make your prints at home.

You'll have more control and have a lot of fun with it.

Other than that, you might want to check with some professionals who can point out a good lab in your area.

It's always nice to establish a good working relationship with a pro lab, especially if they print to your liking.

Thanks Terry,

I thought about checking out labs in my area, but we live in Germany and the language barrier intimidates me. I know of a couple in the states that you can send your raw images to and they will process them. I plan to try them out, but I was wanting others opinion on who they use.

As for printing at home.........We thought about that too. I think that is the route my husband would like to take, but I like the di-cut look of what the pro photo labs do. Personal opinion I guess.

Thanks for you suggestions!!
