Default Blurry image in Macro mode?

How come the viewing screen on my Nikon 2100 gets blurry when I get to close to the subject. Is it because the screen can't handle the detail or that the image will actually come out blurry. If so, how come it gets blurry when you get to close?

Peace...

Most obvious answer is that you are closer than the camera's minimum focusing distance. Or maybe the camera is not in a macro mode.

Or, some cameras require you to set the zoom to full wide angle for the most macro capability...there's so many possibilities, and without seeing pictures with full Exif it's a guessing game. The 2100's capability is 12 in. to infinity in normal, 1.6 in. to infinity in Macro mode (wide angle).

As for what you see on the LCD, what you see on the LCD is what you'll get in the final image.
