Hi folks, I live in the UK and intend buying a Canon 20D and lenses, now what's the big deal with that you might say, the help I need is as follows.

Is there any reason why I can't buy USA goods apart from the obvious import/export duties, I mean is a 20D in the US the same as a 20D in the UK, regarding the charging of the batteries etc, I know the warranty will probably only cover the US but I can live with that.

Hope someone canconvince me before I make the move.

Gypsy

If they're the same price, what's your question? Me being in Canada can buy from anywhere.. Sometimes they're picky about shipping bateries that's about it.

I can get a far better deal by buying in the US, it just seems too good to be true, like I mentioned earlier the only drawback would be the messing about returning goods if anything was wrong while it was still under warranty.
