Now, it seems, anything goes. I have seen posts where I had no idea what the poster was trying to say.
I know what you mean; on another forum one poster wrote the following:

bought a new xxxxx-xx complet tax and all for 180 from the schack it has a system error on it and its warrenty is over , so i call xxxxx to get it fix they inform me that will be 169 flate rate pluss tax what a rip i told them so they wont even spend ten min on it all they do is plug in a data cable to it , and its fix ,id be willing to spend 50 on repair but come one 169 the same price as i bougt it for, so if anyone has one to sell that works great ill pay up too 100 for it no more.

I responded:

"69 iz alot of doh butt if u serch araund the nt or ebbay u mite find 1 cheep dun now caze ive nevr used xxxxx."

the extremely bad examples are not that common and someone generally says something about it...but the daily average mispelling is no big thing to me, especially as was said, this is an international Forum...after all, i aced English & Grammar in school & college and with the advent of Forums & Message Boards, i let it all slide...i do think if a Forum has a spell check such as this one does and someone were unsure if they spelled a word correctly or not, then they should take advantage and use it...

A lot of it is trying too type too quickly. TEH is a common error. If you typed like the Scots talk you would be in dead trouble.

To some of the pedants here, it is worthreviewing how oftenin this thread you have used 'to'when meaning 'too' and vice versa. :G

Jimbo Jones asked why reader changed the post...

Jimbo -- reader cares about spelling, punctuation and the like. Just not enough, apparently, to get it right the first time!!!

I've been meaning to talk to you all about grammar, too.:-)

To and too, that is another stupid part of this language. My motto is "Keep it simple"
