Default Family Photos-What to Wear???

We would like to take a group family picture with 21 family members and would like everyone to wear similar clothes and colors. We don't want to make it look like a fast food resturant picnic-just want to make sure there isn't one there in a clown outfit to ruin the composition. Any suggestions???

I'd worry more about how to shoot 21 people in a group, to such detail that every individual looks crisp and clear, Think I'd do a personal portrait of each as well.

Well, I would avoid lots of black or lots of white. Something closer in tone to middle grey.

Men in grey suits then? Will the camera colour balance ok?

Default Depends on the camera....

Depending on the lighting you have available and the cam you are using, I would try to pick a color that has the lowest noise for the camera.

This may not be an issue if you can get a low ISO to work, or using powerful strobes.

Stand well back and use plenty of optical zoom to avoid barrel distortion and not poke the camera in their faces.
