If that's the type of pictures you take, then reconsider that decision as the polarizer is one of the best things for it...reducing the camera stop doesn't do the same thing as the polarizer blocks light travelling at certain angles. Check out the sample polarizer pics on these pages:

It really makes a difference. I even use a polarizer indoors sometimes for cutting light reflections on shiny surfaces if I'm doing a product shot.
