Palms, PPCs, etc. are all toys (and yes, I've used them all as someone who writes about PDAs)...the Psion is a true handheld standalone computer, plus it's a PDA...blows any other handheld device out of the water.

The company who made the OS for the Psion, Symbian, is making OSes for many communicator devices including the Nokia (9210/9290), SonyErisson P800 (which also has a built-in camera)...and Symbian is also making the next version of the Palm OS (which shows how good it is if Palm is going to use it...actually, Symbian is one company that Microsoft is afraid of).

Actually, Psion was the first PDA made back in 1984...long before the Palm or the Apple Newton existed.

I have Lexar, PNY, and CompUSA cards and they all worked fine in my C700 and in my new C5050z. BTW, the CompUSA card is actually a Lexar.

ehm no not really .... they're much better than that.

Consider how often your PC locks up, goes down, blue screen of death etc, etc and all other stability issues of windows PC.

Now get your head round this I have 3 Psions - the one I've had for app 10 years I have had to "re-boot" ONCE ! No you didn't misread - just the one time in app 10 years - wouldn't it be nice if our PC's could be that relaible.

They are so adaptable and .... well I could go on for ever

Considering the countless hardware/software combos the "PC" has it is no wonder they have a reputation for crashing ...it is very easy for a company where proprietory hardware is all their coders have to worry about The disadvantage to that is the lack of choice hardware-wise.

Since using W2k Pro (at home) and Linux (at work) I have yet to see a blue screen or kernel panic in over 3 years and my 'uptime' is 99% ( I leave the system on 24/7 at home).

Tip #1 don't buy/use cheap hardware.
Tip #2 don't overload you system with poorly written software.
