Hi, I have a Nikon Coolpix 7600, just got the camera on E-Bay ( no manual ), $122.00 with shipping. I have owned a Coolpix 2100 for a couple years so the 7600 was not that hard to figure out. One thing I just can`t get it how to shut the LCD screen off and just use the viewfinder, can this LCD be turned off? And does someone know how to turn it off?
Thanks
Joe

rougevet, thanks for the info, one more question if you don`t mind, if I turn off the LCD screen, is it only off while taking pictures, I`m assuming it willcome backon with the dial in the set up mode, so I can turn it on again? Sounds like a dumb question but I just want to make sure I can turn it back on when I want.
Thanks Again
Joe

If you turn it off it is only off if you select the green picture thing in the dial(under the scene mode) the rest of the selections seem to keep the monitor on.
And if you go to the green picture mode the monitor will be off the whole time(as far as i know)untill you go to the setup mode and do the process that I mentioned in previous reply.
