Default AF Illuminator

The reviews for digicams consistently say "this camera could benfit by adding a AF Illuminator". Other than Sony, does any manufacturer have this feature?

Second, I am looking for a 3-4 megapixel camera that takes great shots (good lens) and can take them relatively quick. I like the new Sony line (72,92), and I also like the Minolta S414. Should I be looking at something else?

Third, as far as memory storage, do some write faster than others? (ie: XD Picture Cards, etc...)

Thank You... :?:

Here's why anyways, cameras need a certain amount of light to focus...when there isn't enough light they can't focus (although you can still take a picture using the manual controls). The AF beam shines a light from the camera long enough for it to focus. Check out http://www.howstuffworks.com/autofocus3.htm
