The main complain for the cheap ones is that they get stuck after a while. I haven't had that problem yet, but I do carry a rubberband in my camera bag just in case.

I got my filters from Adorama's Amazon store . For some reason they sell some of their filters in Amazon for less than their regular store.

For 58mm, Hoya CirPol is $25, that's $12 less than what they sell it for in their regular site.

The Tiffen ND filters are about $15 for 58mm. Just pick the darkness you want.

The Hoya's that I got were made in Japan, while the Tiffen's were made in the US.

Good Luck!
