I'm looking at purchasing an additonalCF card for my Nikon 995. I don't want to spend the additional money for a Sandisk II, III or IV of it won't make taking and storing the photos any faster.

I'm also looking at getting a newer digicam, and have the same dilemma for the new camera.

Q Does the additional cost - real make a difference ?

I have a Nikon D1x, it has a six image buffer. For this camera the faster the card the better. I often had to wait while the images were written to the care.

I have a Nikon D2x, it has a 26 image buffer, I've never come close to filling the buffer and never lost an image because I had to wait.

So, what kind of photography do you do? "Slow" cards are plenty fast enough if you don't do large burst mode shooting.
