The only HDTV projector I found with all the gadgets you could possibly look for was from Mitsu, the Mitsu HD2000L. You can connect it directly to your laptop with their VGA cord. The reason I recommend it is because of it's long lamp life. A whopping 10,000 hours. A new lamp for any decent projector can run as high as $400 but Mitsu offers 3 free lamp replacements just in case they burn out on you. Just go to google.com and type in keyword Mitsu PT02Z or Mitsu HD2000L. You should be able to find some links to their website. Good luck.

Online vendors definitely are much cheaper than the chain stores, plus you don't have to pay tax in most cases. That itself could save quite a few dollars.

Among the online vendors, I personally prefer Amazon.com because of their hassle free return policy (they pay for return shipping as well and there are no re-stocking fees). If the price difference is not significant between Amazon and other reputed online retailers like Newegg, B&H, or J&R, I always go for Amazon.

Among the traditional stores, Costco has the best return policy - you can return the product anytime - that gives you a virtual lifetime guarantee.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

When you buy from B&H do they call you and hassle you about add-ons?

Thanks, Jim

I read a lot of complaints about other e-tailers that do that.

A lot of the NY-based camera dealers are like this. However, B&H is a standup company with absolutely no hassles involved. They've even fixed my own screwups on ordering without complaint or attitude. I highly recommend them. I also recommend Beach Camera and Buydig (the same company). Most of the other NY-based shops I'd be wary of.

Outside of NY camera shops, most of the big names are fine. Newegg is great, especially for memory.

Always check resellerratings.com before shopping with someone new online.
