I have my HP 735 for more than one year, so the warranty is over. I'm using rechargeable 1800 mAh batteries, bought recently, and they last less and less time. In the beginning, power consumption seemed to be fair (it never had a great autonomy), but now it is getting catastrophic. Last time I used the camera, it took about 6 pictures with flash and without using the LCD, and the batteries were gone.
Any advises? |

I know it may seem obvious but, did you try another couple of batteries?- Maybe the ones you are using are defective. Or, maybe, something is wrong with your recharger.
Also, I used some lithium (non recheargeable) batteries and they have a very good duration. Regards, Dario |

Yep -- it sounds like your batteries and/or charger are defective (or the batteries are incompatible with the charger). Of course, you could have some oxidation on the battery contacts in the camera, too (unlikely, but I've seen it happen).
I'd try different batteries (and/or charger) first. Steve has a page on NiMH rechargeables here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/nimh_batteries.html |

something is definitely wrong! I can make 120+ photo's with LCD screen on and flash occasional used. I'm using 1700mah batteries!
