Hi. I was checking out the 945 at CompUSA today. I could not figure out how to turn off the digital zoom. Is it possible to turn it off? I would find that very annoying if you could not turn it off. Thanks in advance.................Wendy

Hi Wendy
No you can't turn off the digital zoom. BUT, you don't really need too. When you press the zoom in button, and leave your finger on it, the camera zooms to its maximum 8x optical and then stops, it WILL NOT go into digital zoom mode unless you physically take your finger off the zoom button and then re-apply it. Does that make sense?! If you did happen to use the digital zoom (I do occasionally) the camera very cleverly shows you the cropped portion of the picture you would capture, it also tells you at what resolution that picture would be if taken at that point. Therefore a picture taken at 4 megapixels would be equivalent to a 13x optical zoom. 450mm equivalent? Stuie |
