Any Photosmart 635 owner tried to burn their mpegs to DVD?
I am enjoying using my new 635 to keep up with our new 3 month old daughter. It seems that my wife's favourite usage is to take short videos with it rather than stills. I promised her that I was going to try to burn the videos (.mpg) to a DVD so that she could pop them in the DVD player and bore friends with them any time. I am having a heck of a time doing this though.

This camera captures video with sound at 24 fps, 320x240. I have been using Stoik Video Converter to try and get them into Pinnacle Studio 8 editing software to try to write to DVD, but I keep getting this "non-standard frame rate" error ... "cannot save in mpeg format".

Has anyone ever burned a DVD with these .mpg files from an HP photosmart camera that doesn't match the standard 30 fps rate?

Hello enjoyinmyhp,
Just a suggestion, you can try to just burn the mpg's onto a dvd or cd as data, most dvd players will read them without converting to video cd or mpeg-2 for dvd.

This may work, it does for me.
I have a Fuji S7000 so it is a little different but I get the same error. I then did a custom setting in pinnacle. Choose Create AVI. Go to the settings and change it from DVD or whatever it is defaulted to, and set it to Cinepak Codec by Radius. That will probably handle the unrecognized frame rate and allow you to save the file as you want to.

Good luck!
