Default HP Photosmart 720 and SanDisk 256mb card

Just got a great deal on a 256mb SD card at Staples ....less than a 128mb card after rebates. But I put it in the camera and 'woe is me' , I get an "Unsupported card" message. Research, after the fact, show differing specs on whether or not the 720 will support 256mb cards. Is there a fix or firmware upgrade that will allow compatibility?

Tks

I believe I now know the problem. I see that some of the contacts in the memory slot are bent. The camera was a store demo that I got for a good price. I guess "caveat emptor".

I would assume that HP will charge me the price of a new camera to fix it, so I think I'll try it myself. Any documentation available on how to take these things apart?
