Okay3 hours ago i bought the r707 camera. 2hrs and 30 mintues ago i opened the box.

Ok..... so whats the problem?

I CANT PUT THE BATTERY IN THE F-ING CAMERA, AND IM VERY VERY ANGRY!!!!

Why is it that i can configure a home network but i can INSERTa bettery into a camera???

I read the instructions and researched on the internet... NOTHING.

Now the store is closed and i'm waiting to see how badly i'm screwed out of my money. (Did i mentionthat i think that thebatteryisstuck in the camera - well i think it is!!!!)

How Terrible. I would havenever thought in a billion years i would have this SIMPLE PATHETIC problem. Now i feel like bombing allhp locations. (just kidding).

How did you putthebattery in your r-f-ing707?

When in doubt, look inside battery compartment and note where contacts are located and then orient battery appropriately and then insert. Never force it.

User manuals are often written by idiot engineers, not users

i knew how to insert the battery the correct way as far as contacts go.

But there was a latch for the battery to be held in place... thats where things went wrong.

Instructions:

2. Insert the battery in the largest slot as shown, and push it in until the latch cathes.

What is doesnt tell you is that you have to push the latch backFIRST before inserting the battery. (which is not very easy)

So, how do you like the camera now that you got the batteries in? I'm thinking about getting one. The reviews seem to be very good.

I bought one for my wife last summer. She loves it. Small size, takes great pictures, and with the docking station is very easy to load pictures on the computer.

Well,

imo your ranting says alot about you.......:?

Let's just say my mother , who is in no way a tech, and 60years old, figured out the little blue latch.
I mean, come on, when opening for the battery, everything is black except for this little blue/cyan latch......

aaaanyway, it's a good camera. And, my mother recently learned how to take B/W photos.:-)
