Hi guys,

I just bougth a HP945 and I think it has a problem.

For couple of times when I was taking a picture it hung up and did not respond to anithing anymore even when I tried to switch it of. At any switch that I press the LED near the SD card blinks 4 times and that's it. I had to remove the bateries for a minute and then it would start.

Yesterday I've used it and switched it off, everithing was fine. Now I'm trying to switch it on but the same LED blinks 4 times (it is red). The stuff with the bateries doen not work anymore.

Did anybody experienced the same problem?

Does anybody know if that 4 blinks mean anything, maybe an error code?

Hi,

It means that your bateries are empty, e.g. has no power to work. You should use better bateries. This camera needs lot of power to start, and also when bateries are almost empty it will sometimes not even shut down.

Reagrds,

Thanks, Zoran

You are rigth, I recharged the batteries and it started.

But, still, I had situations where after a cold reset (remove the batteries and put them back it) it worked again with the same batteries for, let's say, 20 pictures more.

Ok, It doesn't matter why, maybe mu rechargeables are damaged and are not capable to provide contant power....

Do yu have a document with this type of error codes?

Hi,

I have no docment about such "codes". As far as I remember there is something about it and other issues in maual.

I suggest you to obtain NiMH bateries with at least 1800 mAh, bigger capacity will serve you better. Other rechargable bateries are not good, especially NiCd. NiCd can not provide high power that is needed for startin camera if they are half empty (it depend on capacity).

Regards,
Zoran
