Default 850: movie, with stuttering sound.

Yesterday I made a little clip with the 850 (I had no choice), normally I use a camcorder for that and never the 850 to my surprise the quality of the picture was reasonable but the sound was stuttering (drop outs).

The soundlevel was rather high when I made the clip.......

Anyone else had problems, is it my card, soundlevel ?

Greetings,
Frank

Were you moving, driving a car? I noticed that happens when moving or riding in the car. I don't encountered any problem with the sound while doing video clips when standing at one place or moving smoothly.

Hi,

No, but the soundlevel was rather high, I will check again with a different memory card.

I've set the sound on mine to high for testing with video clip and found no problem with the sound.

Which memory card size are you using? I've notice that a 60sec of video clips is between 9MB to almost 10MB on low sound (if that makes any difference).

Please post your result, I'm curious. Thanks.

Frank,

On one of your comment for another subject, you've mentioned that you got another camera replacement. Do you have problem with the sound on this one?

BTW, I've read some reviews and chose a Lexar brand over the Sandisk for a 256MB card. Not sure if this made any difference with the sound.

Hi,

The first one locked up most of the time, I never got to a movie on that one, the second is much better (never locks) but got the movie problem.

Greetings,
Frank
