I used PhotoMatix with my Nikon shots. This is the closet I have come to the real HDR.

Sometimes when you have a pic like this which doesnt look particularly spectacular, its a good idea to post with it the middle exposure so people can appreciate the results. Also when there is a large dark area I have read that if you make one exposure with the lens cap on and use the black frame as one of the HDR files then it helps reduce the noise.

Isn't it funny how shooting a series of night shots for HDR that includes a traffic light seem to always end up with all three lights shining? I've always gotten the same thing. I like the HDR for the street and buildings, but your location isn't the greatest with the black building in the foreground. If it weren't for that, this picture would be rather neat looking. Looks like you can manage the software, can you try a series from a better location? I'd like to see the streets of San Francisco at night.

This is from the very end of my terrace. When I try to crop out the black, I lose too much of the street. I can try fro another location but it in not easy to have access to a high window that is clean. i shall try.
