Default Increased dynamic range

Until a few days ago I hadn't discovered a Nikon camera function that they call D-Lighting.

It isn't anything like as sophisticated as combining five differently exposed images with Photomatix, but it's quick and easy and seems quite useful -

Here are a before and an after shot -

Ive never paid any attention to the D-lighting. Maybe I should give it a look see. Thanks Herb.
