Default 3 panoramas and 2 single-shot HDR's - Red seasmoke in Norway

So I did (some time ago) and this is what I came up with today:

# 1 - One of my favorite shots. I like the texture of the slick and smooth surface of the beach which is covered with a thin layer of ice, and the light-reflections on the ice in between the rocks.

# 2 - Here it is the texture of the snow on the dock that's interesting to me.

# 3 - Again, the texture of the snow on the dock and on the right side where the snow was piled up some days ago, but covered nicely again with newfallen snow, giving off beautifully rounded shapes lying there in the pale light of dawn, forming nice shadows and light.

And two single-HDR's as well:

# 4 - Just some snow and ice, really - and the seasmoke out there in the sound of Kjoekoeya (Kj°k°ysund in Norwegian).

# 5 - And the ever changing colors as the sun rose nearer to the horizon.

All shot during the last days in December 2009, in the morning, before the sun came up, in extreme cold - belive me! The small 'cloud-like' appearances you see, yonder over the bridge are NOT clouds, but seasmoke coming off the surface of the water.

The light was incredible that morning and warmed my heart and soul, so I forgot to feel sorry for myself, for standing out there in the cold and freezing.

All shot with my Panasonic LUMIX G1-camera and HDR-rendered with DPHDR. Hope you like some of them - I have far too many....

And Bynx is climbing that famouse wall right now...

these are gorgeous Walter. this is a very strong set. the hdr is done nicely. they are composed well, and i absolutely love the smoothness of the water and the texture as it transitions to the ice and snow.

the first 2 are my favorite, but i enjoyed each one.

taken together, very strong set.

Beautiful shots, Walter. There's a great, unmistakable emptiness present as one contemplates the missing boats, people, etc. But for you we would have no images at all.

They are very beautiful! This shows all the good things you can get with HDR. I'll never complain about pictures from Norway, you've certainly convinced me that you live in a beautiful corner of the world.

Walter, what can I say? The whole set is beautiful, everything about these shots is just perfect - composition, color, lightning and of course the making of the HDR with DPHDR

What I like the most about your pics (besides the motive itself ) is the calm, tranquil mood they convey most of the time.

Not to change the subject but how about a few pictures of some beautiful Norwegian women. The only ones I met were alcoholics sent away to recover.

These are very nice pictures Wally. I like the way that you've managed to capture true artic winter morning colours. A very nice set, #2 is my favorite with the peer leading out into the solitude of the ice cold winter. But there isn't mutch to choose between them.

If that isn't 'changing the subject' then I don't know what is.....

I don't normally do nudes (mostly because of lack of models...), Bynx - or any other woman-girly-pin up or any other (I don't know-what-you-call-it) female candid shots. But for you my friend, I will make an exception.

Due to the existing Forum-policy of not showing indecent and otherwise offending pictures, I will only provide you with the appropriate link to an very special pole-dancing scene:
