Default Just for fun

Here's a picture that I took just for fun last week. It's a 5 shot exposure bracketed series with two stops between frames. It didn't need that much range, but I thought it came out nicely - the HDR brought out a lot more texture in the scene.

Remember, this picture was taken in Southern California, the land of palm trees and where it never rains.

There is not a spot of overexposed area in the snow. HDR is amazing. Nice job. What is that big lump?

You don't recognize that big lump? I want to clone in a big red bow on the top of that lump and pretend it's a new car all wrapped up, rather than an almost 4 year old Honda Fit with over 180,000 miles on it (you can see a bit of the silver rear-view mirror), which won't be going anywhere soon unless someone gets out there with a shovel this weekend (sigh!). A lot of the snow has melted this week, but not enough to get the car out of the driveway yet.

Hards - now that you mention it, there's not any color shift in the picture - I hadn't paid attention to that fact. The whole scene was pretty much black and white, but with shadows and sunlight, there could have been.
