Default Bahadir!

Thank you for commenting this shot. Long time no see and hoping everything is o.k. with you!

Concerning your suggestions:
I fail to see why it should be cropped even more on the top? There will be no sky left, if I do. The horizon is already down to 1/5th of the height (rule of third...?) and IMO very low. Is it the upper cloud-bank you want to get rid of?

With my limited knowledge of changing colors in a picture - you'll have to remember, those are NOT RAW-files. I shoot in JPEG's only - I tried the Photo-Filters in Ps Elements, trying to increase yellow (to subdue the blue) but the whole picture gets a sickening and very unnatural yellow-hue. So I left it like it is.

Hejsan Walter... you know, what I really love about the first photo is the golden yellow from the sunset, yet in the foreground you have the beautiful snow... What a wonderful assortment of colour!

Now that is how I remember Washington State being so heavy with the snow we got nothing this year just a light fall that did not even stick that is down off the Mt's they got all the snow this year could be cause the heat was high this last summer that the Mt's get served first? I love the first shot it is so refreshing to the eyes the yellow with spring coming so near actually make one think its all going to be OK!

Dear Walter, happy to see you again! Now, you're quite right about mentioning the rule of the thirds, which I occasionally remind others regarding composition. But there's something in this image, how to put it, so impulsive, forward...which should even be 'sharpened' by letting the perception go lower through a narrower escaping point. And you get it right, only trimming off from the top including the upper cloud would suffice.
Ah, yes, pushing the yellow saturation alone would make things go bad. I'm not sure if there's 'colour balance' tool in PS elements. Then perhaps decreasing the blue saturation first and then increasing the yallow saturation (with the same amount) only for the snowy foreground (selected by the lasso tool) may do the same thing...Well, you might as well leave it as it is, which is again spectacular!

Hello guys and gals!

I have not been following up my threads properly lately, as I'm in the middle of something personal, taking most of my time and efforts otherwise.

I apologize for not having answered sooner to each and one of you. Let me just give praise to you ever so kind people for taking the time to comment on my picture and for the kind words from all of you!

Thank you!
