Very well done. I like the second one, for the bit of purple, and the blending of color, as well as the way the stems and leaves came out.

The second one is very nice. There's a minor problem on the right side, probably many people wouldn't notice it but I found it a bit distracting, so it takes away from the shot. I don't see anything like that in the second one, and the way you handled highlights here and there make a very nice picture.

What is the problem you see on the right side? Is it the flower or the background? And is that pic 1 or 2?

Great colours Bynx!

Vibrant display of the red lilies! And aptly set on a dark background. I've often found it hard to get the true deep red looking lovely (without being too hot / bright) - but you've done well here.

I see some very dark green in the background (next to both sides of the flower) - that might be what mtngal is referring to. (I'd say it looks like some cloning / post processing work). It is a bit distracting, but not overwhelmingly so as it is very dark- however like most things, when someone mentions it more people will start to notice.

Again, I appreciate your masterful efforts.

Paul

What I was looking at was on the first picture. I should know better than try to post at this hour of the evening, I'm usually tired and don't express myself very well.

I was looking at a petal on the back flower, on the right side (more or less middle of the frame vertically). The transition from light to dark is really rough. The second picture is wonderful, wouldn't change a thing at all.
