Default The Log

Walking along the seaside to scout for places where I could shoot "Moving Waters" for a later shooting-day, I came across this enormous oak-beam that has been washed ashore here.
I had to be quick because the sun had already settled and the light was fading rapidly.

Got some series of bracket-shots to play with when I came home...

I had to think twice as how to upload a picture, as I have not done this for some time now. Not been around much lately, which I hope I can change soon. Been rather busy elsewhere.

Lets me know what you think about the log-pic. Good or bad, doesn't matter really.

Glad to see some of the familiar faces are still around!

Best regards from Norway!

Nicely done, Walter. I like the touches of color on the long and your perspective. Good to see you back, as I've missed your mastery.

Lovely shot of the log, Walter and welcome back with regards from you neighbouring Swede

As always, you bring an astounding HDR... I actually thought about your HDRs the other day, while composing a shot and it made me think, damn...He's just going to deliver with a better shot than this haha...

I really like the shot, nicely done. All of the HDR pictures I've tried recently have been horrible and I've gotten so discouraged that I haven't bracketed much at all. Your picture gives me faith that it really is possible to do good ones. Love the big depth of field in this one!

Default Thanks to everyone of you....

....for taking the time to comment and for the welcomes! It feels good to be back, too. Must try to make it more regulary, but that's not easy during the summer-season. Come fall / autumn with its shorter daylight-hours I will get more time to sit in front of the computer....

Thanks again!

Welcome back Walter. You were certainly missed.
Now, the log pick is fine, up to your standards, but where are the Greece pictures? I was hopping to see some great travel photos.

Talking Ha-Ha!

Thanks for the welcome, Ordo!

I'd hoped you forgot all about my trip to Samos / Greece. I made liturally thousand of photos down there, so it would take a lot of work to process them all to Steve'ses standard (size and weight of file) and upload them.

Besides, I thought travelphotos are not so hot in demand anymore.....

BTW - have you bought yourself a new camera yet? Last time I was in here, you were still busy comparing, and trying to find your 'perfect' dSLR.
