Default Before and After using Frankenstein HDR

The first photo is the original HDR. Winds were gusting at 35 knots from the west. The Steam cloud was the major problem. It kept changing every split second. Both Photomatix and Dynamic Photo were used. I blended both at different ratios, then used masking layers. The sky was made with 2 photos and the rest of the scene was made with 5. All settings were used in Photomatix. Min and low were primarly used to control the light. The second photo is the final result. Sorry for the blurry results. All my HDR's are now setup for Flickr and printing. Did not take the time to adjust these....

Hello, The HDR you have applied really sharpens and brightens the picture, tones the lights and adds clarity to the photo. I must say however I like the steam effect in the first photo better than the HDR one. (grain of salt)...Frank

Does this work ok? The grainy smoke and the improved PP?

Nice Bynx, but in the steam cloud looks a little to gritty for the rest of the sky in my opinion...
