Default HDR Of Rocky Island + Bridge In Fog - Testing:

# 1 is just a new way of doing HDR's and testing out reactions here.
#2 is "regular" HDR with DynamicPhoto-HDR.

# 1 - Shot with Sigma 70-200mm D 1:2.8 APO DG HSM at 135mm focal lenght.
Explanation: Late afternoon wintershot with sun shining through dense mist in the air - situation shown below - hence the yellowish tint on the water.

# 2
This shows the situation of the first picture. The rocky island of the picture above, is to the right of the furthest bridge-tower - mostly hidden in the fog here. It's actually the base where the huge bridge-tower stands on.

Situation: I was out there shooting in fine weather, sun shining from blue skies, when in a matter of approx. 30minutes, this great wall of mist came rolling in from the sea, and liturally changed the whole scene into a bleak and alian looking landscape.

#1 has a more 'painted' effect but I really like it.

Both are very nice. The first is nature at its best and the second is a bridge that seems to lead to a mysterious place. I think your compositions deserve to be called "astounding".

Thanks for your very kind words, VV!

The first one is not really a composition at all, since I just took a shot i had and tried out this new "technique" I came across, just to see if the "feel" of the picture and the texture of the frostcovered rocks could be of any interest.

The second one is a rather awkward composition because of the hight of the bridge-tower. I had to have it all within the frame, but could not back off any more because there was this great ugly power-line across the road, just above where my head is now....

I think we should rather reserve the word "astounding" to your elaborate HDR's only, vvcarpio!

If you ask me, your "tests" could fetch a couple million dollars at Sotheby's...
