Default Time Square

Just back from a 5 day visit to New York. The weather was anything but ideal for photo taking, except for when I took this. This is my first attempt at HDR and have to admit that I like what I see. The above was achieved with 3 differently exposed frames using Photomatix Pro which I just got and learning to use.

I like it. It shows that look of you-cannot-feel-any-more-alive-than-in-Times-Square.

vvcarpio:
Thanks for your comment. You are absolutely right. Time Square is a very unique place, it has a sense of energy all around it that must be experienced.

Talk about billboards! There's some kind of softness in the pick, but the angle and the composition are nice.

Very vibrant colours - feels high energy, definitely!

Impressive with the people moving (how did you manage that - I'm guessing the whole crowd didn't play 'statue' for you?)

A bit soft, but otherwise very nice.

Thanks for your comment Paul. Time Square is a very busy place with people constantly on the move I shot this photo at 1/400 of a second and luckily that seemed to freeze the action. I have tried to sharpen the photo some more to take that soft look out of it.

I thought I would post this other photo showing the south side view of Time Square.
