Default Little Cabin

A Little cabin in the Elkmont area of the Smokies.

Little Cabin by Mugmar, on Flickr

This used to be a resort area and has been abandoned for over 40 years. There are several buildings in different stages of disrepair in this area. The National Park Service has finally decided to restore some of the buildings to preserve this part of history in East Tennessee

I certainly hope the Park Service will preserve those structures. I remember going to a summer camp near Gatlinburg and I remember the beauty of the forests there.
