Default Manchester (UK)

Been a while since I posted so here is a pseudo-HDR from Manchester today. One exposure, AutoHDR2.1.5 on the Architecture preset and a bit of extra contrast and colour afterwards. C&C welcome. Sony a580+16-80CZ.

First the 'middle' and only exposure:

And the processed version. I left the clouds looking natural and concentrated on the buildings:

I use autoHDR all the time and love the improvement it gives to my photos. I can't find this info (not saying it's not somewhere), but i would like the dark parts to remain a little darker. i presume the "shadows" setting has some influence here but i can't figure it out. martin?

Very nice HDR. Tried your product, but it either freezes up or shows some type of error message saying that it cannot save to TIFF format. I guess that I have been in the photomatix world to long. Cannot figure out why the program defaults to resizing the image down to 800x600. One has to unmark all the boxes to get the original size image. Then the program has difficulty. HDR is my second stop in my workflow. Then on to photoshop. It just feels unnatural to see a resizing program inside an HDR program.....

My approach gives nice results but its main downside is that it uses a lot of memory and can be a bit slow on large files so by default it resizes them so that the processing is reasonably fast. It might just be that at full size it's running out of memory on your machine? You can untick all of the boxes in one go using the '100%' button though.

Very nice. It looks like a drawing. I can almost see ink blots at the line intersections on the old building. (My mind is putting them, they're not in the pic.)
