Default Deal Castle, England...

some HDR shots i took today whilst visiting Deal Castle. commissioned by Henry VIII himself in the early 1500's to fortify the south east coastline after threat of invasion.

some heavy HDR and some more restrained

G'day John

I like #1 & #3 best - #1 shows the building - funny to think that would be used to 'defend' southern England from invasion - and #3 as it shows more of the locale of the canon rather than being dominated by the canon

I note also the 'securing' of the canon balls to prevent 'souvenir hunters' from making off with them. [if it were me, I'd padlock a chain to one and let them try to walk off with one that way...]
