In fact, the clouds make that image work. Nice job.

Default Well done

Hello John,

I enjoyed looking at your photo. Fine job of converting to HDR. Nice use of leading lines (and curves) and the colour simply pops off the page. If I may offer a bit of a critique, I would have really liked to have seen this panoramic image with a bit more foreground to capture more of the curvature of of the walkway, especially in the centre. Then take in a bit more of the sky to encompass the curvature of the middle portion of the highest band of cloud (which is missing). Given the panoramic nature of this image I think these additions would add to the sweep and grandeur of the scene. And lastly, because my eye is distracted by this, I would clone out that white object in the middle foreground since (IMHO) it competes with the harbour scene immediately above it and carries a tad too much visual weight. Hope you're not offended by my comments. Again, good job.

Regards, Dan

Thanks Left Eye, i always appreciate constructive critique. i will have a play with it and return here maybe when i get a wide angle lens to add to my new kit. only got a kit lens at the moment but hear what you say about the foreground and white object. might try a bit of cloning. thanks for the tips
