Default let there be light!

Maybe squeezing every bit of life out of my favourite location here, but visited Ramsgate Harbour again today and walked the harbour wall to the lighthouse. this really is a stunning place to visit and the many luxury yachts here give a really nice backdrop for some hdr fun. strangely enough, the scene doesnt looks so warm in the daylight, as it was about 6c that day so far from warm, but with the sun above and the harbour wall behind me i felt compfy enough to sit on a bench and chat to a passing couple who took an interest in my work. i took 5 groups of 3 bracketed shots on this one (going for some kind of record) and after processing the 5 shots to hdr using the same preselected settings, i then joined them in elements. no other pp was needed other than to mask a tiny bad join.

hope you like it

regards,
John

I really like it! I was in the marine supply business for thirty five years and miss seeing these great scenes.

thanks sds, i live 5 mins walk from this harbour. Ramsgate is a great little town with a lot of marine heritage. ive lived here about 6 years now and can still walk around finding new things every day. even just on the harbour. it really is a huge place with lots to photograph. glad you liked it

That shot is worth every bit of energy you put into it.
Every time I attempt something like that the clouds move around.
