Default November sunrise at Sandy Neck

Was working in my office this morning. As I was drinking my coffee, the first rays of light came thru the window. It became rather clear to me that this day would see a very colorful sunrise. I grabbed my camera and raced to Sandy Neck Beach in time to catch this:

3 shots bracketed @.3, tonemapped in Photomatix Pro, edited in Adobe Camera Raw, CS6, oil painting filter applied.

Excellent job zig. I like the fact everything is in focus.

Thanks Walter & Bynx
Your comments are always appreciated.

The Tokina 11-16mm lens does a pretty good job. I need to remember to use it more often.

Beautiful picture Zig, you captured the great colors of that morning.

According with your info you used 3 bracketed shots at 0.3 EV steps? why not 1 EV?

That's an incredible shot and tack sharp focus. The lighting is awesome.

Hi Marcelo,

I can't really answer your question from a technical point other than I've been using .3 EV steps since the beginning. I've tried other settings but
my preference is to end up with a more subtle hdr result. I'd like to have the viewer wonder if I actually used HDR or something else.

By the way, glad to hear you're safe & sound.
