Default HDR Samsung Galaxy S3

Here is a HDR shot, using my Samsung Galaxy S3. It combined three photos together. Not to shabby for a mobile phone

How did you hold your phone still and adjust the shutter times?

I just tried to be as steady with my hands as possible... I let the HDR app do all the rest... After that, I did a little post-processing with Topaz. Thanks for looking!

My wife has the Samsung galaxy 3 as well and I find the HDR functionality to be very good especially when trying to get low light shots with out using flash. For impromptu portraits it brings out much better detail with the multiple exposures and the fact it combines them in the phone also IMHO impressive.

Your shot is another excellent use of the HDR to pull out the details in the tree while maintaining the light shinning from behind, well done.

Many kind thanks. Yeah, these phone cameras can do interesting things. So can HDR along with them. And I agree, how a phone can still take three photos and combine them... absolutely amazing... especially on a day when it was -29 degrees Celsius the day I took the photo. My hands were cold as can be, I thought there would be a lot more movement or camera shake.

Thanks again for looking.
