Default night hunter

i took this on a recent trip to a bird of prey sanctuary at a local wildlife park. the owl was caged and near to the back wall in some reasonable light, however the fencing made it rather tricky to get a good full length shot. i decided to get a bit closer and concentrate on the face, and in particular, the eye that was visible. the bird was watching others that were out in the open air pen so was ver preoccupied and really not interested in me with my camera.
after removing the fence in pp i decided to darken the surrounding area to draw all the attention to my chosen area. keeping some of the green haze of the fence i tried to create a misty effect similar to mist in a moon lit sky.

i think it makes for a rather nice arty style shot of a beautiful bird.
what do you guys think?

regards,
John

Owls are very majestic birds and this one certainly looks wise! Nice capture, I like the texture/pattern of the feathers, and that eye.
