Default River meets ocean

Walked down to the beach this morning, at the mouth of the Santa Ana River. The forecast was for rain, which we need here in Southern Calif. Taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and a 15mm fisheye Canon lens.

I keep coming back to this image, but I still don't know what to say about it. I like the sharpness, particularly the way you kept the detail in the clouds, no small accomplishment in HDR.

I think the wide vision is troubling me, giving a feeling of great, but restricted depth. If that makes any sense. It's the kind of image you can't see and walk away from easily.

Just somehow, it keeps drawing me back.

Excellent capture and I like the richness of the detail and colors.
