This building has a timber frame? Or is it mostly masonry? Puzzling from the outside.

I'm intrigued by the position of the building, mostly surrounded by greenery. Another of your "man's things, diminished by comparison to nature?"

The Barbarian,

I found a text on the mill in Kilanda. I copied and let Google do the translation to English.

"Grinder.

Along the river by Kilanda is a well-preserved mill building, place of bone mill and brickyard and later come to power.

The houses have details such krysspröjsade window. In 1795 accounted for Kilanda parish a flour mill with two pairs of stones located on the "Farmhouse and because of duty"

In 1807, Stone had been increased to three pairs. In 1850 was Kilanda mill in perfect condition and well maintained. Continuing house had brädfodrats and rödmålats, wheel arch rebuilt and left work improved.

Continuing operations remained until the 1950s. The mill building with accompanying Miller's is an important element in the cultural environment around Kilanda manor"

You may get some (somesome) information. Some words are new to me (in Swedish) and the translation is of course "comme ci, comme ca"

I'll add an enlargement.

Yes, you're right. The words "human", "humane" have got new connotations. I prefer to live in a more canine world. I like dogs and older houses among other things

Best

Torgny

PS

my guess is

timber

later boards upon the already existing timber

then masonry

lastly lime(?) for the looks of it

I'll gather some glass pearls, small mirrors and alike and try to get an appointment with the chieftain next time I go there - he may know or point in the right direction :-)
