Default DPHDR 6 is out

Dynamic Photo HDR 6 is out. It was a long time coming so I'm excited. My first go at it:

"Pursuing happiness."

You might notice no difference with my previous renders using DPHDR5. That would be because I was looking to process my images exactly the same way I did before. Later I might explore new effects if any.

Two things I immediately noticed, though, (#1) there is no more "Fusion Blending" step and (#2) clipping on overexposed areas that looked like white maps in the sky in the final Tone Mapping step is fixed.

With DPHDR5, because of the clipping (#2) problem, I have been skipping the Tone Mapping step (with presets "Eye-Catching", "Ultra-Contrast", etc.) altogether and using only Fusion Blending which looks more realistic to me anyway. Having #2 fixed makes me really excited because I can consider using the presets again.

The missing Fusion Blending seems to have been made part of the final step as one of the presets so it's not really gone.

It does look just the way you always do them. So you've got the software to do what you like.

As usual, striking and interesting.

its nice to see a HDR image that is more or less just HDR without all the usual over the top tone mapping that so often spoils a good shot.

Thank you, all.

Hi, Paul. DPHDR has anti-ghosting -- one-click or manual painting. I don't use it much hoping to convey the subject is the only one not moving.

Another DPHDR6 render:

"Carefree."
