im in the UK and whenever i see houses like that it reminds me of the adams family house, i think the sky colour and lighting just to me made it look a bit spooky, the snow one doesnt though, makes it look really warm inside.

Though spooky isn't the word that would come to mind, I can see it why people might think so. To me, there's something eerie about the house itself, not the shot or landscape or edit. Maybe it's the architecture, it looks early 1900s, the tall stone home, steep roof, reminiscent of the old copper roofs, much like the original Bates Motel at Universal Studios...

This is how the house originally started out before the renovations. Its an odd family with the wife who is the tail that wags the dog.

That's quite the make-over. Your first set of images makes it look (to me) like it is a mansion on a large piece of land. The image above, tells me different--just a house on a neighborhood street!

Behind me is just a row of trees and then Lake Ontario. It baffles me why they put the trees there because it blocks the view. However, I guess it might break the cool wind blowing across the lake in winter.

Second shot looks so much better as the first one did have that spooky feeling with no snow..... us folks that were raised in the snow lines... feel its odd unlike those not raised with snow.... as it is I am dreaming of a white Christmas... just like the ones I use to know... where the snow is glistening..........

I hope you get it Missy and you dont have to go out and drive in it. Just stay home and roast some chestnuts on an open fire.
