Default Breakfast time view

I recall reading - back when virtually all photographs were just black and white - that the best time of day to take a picture was usually early morning or late evening.

Perhaps it suits HDR too? -

Default Original picture

The first picture was cropped from this - perhaps the bigger version illustrates
my comment too -

My experience has been that direct over-head sun is an issue because of shadows. The over-hang of roofs, brims of hats or any kind of horizontal projection will cast a shadow, whereas light from a horizontal source such as low sun fully lights up the surface being photographed. For example, with sun over head, eye sockets may be shadowed as well as below a person's forehead or nose.

As for me, I prefer cloudy days, as it is much easier to get a good pix with the available more even diffuse light. Cameras are problematic in that they do not have the dynamic range for light that the human eye possesses.

Nice 1!

I like to shot in morning or evening. As lights are better in this times so photos get better.
