Taken with a cell phone. All I had at the time. The shadows were what grabbed my attention.

For me it is the wood plank floor.

The whole scene looks like something from the 1940es (including some of the scenery outside the windows).

Probably would make a great movie scene/location setting reflecting the 40es.

I think the intent was to achieve a "vintage" look/effect.

(It is surprising how often "less" [eg, removing some sharpness or removing color] can achieve an effect of "more".)

It just didn't work in color. I think the strong light and shadows work better in B&W. I don't do a lot of B&W, but this seemed to call for it.
