I just want a normal inexpensive videocamera that has a good enough picture quality that can take pictures and shoot video. i maily want it to record videos to put up on such websites as youtube and myspace videos. i dont want to spend more than 150 dollars on a video camera. I was looking forward to buying the aiptek pvr has anyone purchased this camera and is this camera worth the money??

I have this model and wouldn't recommend it. It takes good still images but the video suffers from distortion.

Here are are some examples:

(hopefully you will be able to play them, as they are the original video files from the camera)

until you find out that under certain situations, this happens:

http://media.putfile.com/PVR3104 (Classic example of the rainbow effect when you have lines that are close together such as the small bricks of this house)

I have already spoken to Aiptel about this and they are aware of it. Hopefully they will come out with a firmware upgrade, but until such time as they do fix it, I would stay away from it.

It's a pity they seemed to have screwed up on this camera as their previous models were quite good for their price.

you aks some good questions but need to read a few threads there are a number of members that own this model Best advice is to read the review decide if it's the right time to Purchase and ;ook for an sale on this model in the near future
