What is Aiptek playing at? I just saw a new model called the MPVR+ in stock at Target. It has exactly the same specs as far as I can tell as the PVR and DV8800.

Why do they keep relabelling the same device with different names. It is a little suspcious. Maybe they are trying to disassociate from the PVR name. Even if that was the case, why didn't they just call it the DV8800? Of course. because bestbuy could claim 'exclusivity' on that particular model!

They know of the video distortion on the PVR yet they continue to sell variants of this model.

The MZ DV will be a Zoom DV (aka Z 100 Pro) with the sensor upgraded to 5 MP CMOS from 3 MP CMOS. This is a USA model name. Don't know what it will be called in the rest of the world - maybe Z 200 Pro.

was in target and paid no attention the 1st time , but when I was there again I taken note to see if i can find anything different on the dv8800 model

All looked the same. the MPVR 2k6 was the orginal name fitted the camera perfect at the time sept 2006

So I see no reason why you think targets got a branded iron on it? it is a dv8800 in silver. Aipte sold this in three colors black red, and silver

Rg preferred black, and thought it was realy professional looking.

I think red is for the ladies

silver for everyone

black for a sleeker look.

no difference at all.

what I can say about the 8 meg and 6 meg they look identical and that means trouble.
