Aiptek tech support didn't help me, but they offered to repair it for 40euros approximately. If they could not repair it, they would replace it with another camera.
They replied to me very fast.

Yes, reinforcement would be great, the tripod mount is very weak, even in its original non-broken state. But it is difficult to reinforce it, as there is very little room.
